About Zerobillbot

We believe every infrastructure change should come with a price tag visible to the whole team before it hits production across AWS, Azure, and GCP.

Our story

Zerobillbot was born from a frustrating reality: cloud bills that surprise you at the end of the month. As engineers who've worked on infrastructure at startups and large organizations, we've seen teams accidentally deploy NAT Gateways, oversized instances, and forgotten resources that quietly burn thousands of dollars.

The problem isn't that teams don't care about costs — it's that cost information isn't surfaced where decisions happen: in the pull request.

We built Zerobillbot to bridge that gap. By analyzing infrastructure-as-code changes at code review time, we give every engineer — not just the FinOps team — the ability to see and control infrastructure costs before they're incurred.

To keep that signal trustworthy, we continuously benchmark provider coverage with reproducible AWS, Azure, and GCP templates and compare comment output against expected baselines.

What we believe

Shift left on costs

Cost awareness belongs in the development workflow, not in a monthly report. The best time to catch a costly change is before it merges.

Zero friction

Developer tools should work out of the box. No 50-step setup guides. Install, open a PR, get results. Configuration is optional, not required.

Transparent pricing

Our pricing is public, simple, and fair. Free tier for small projects. Predictable per-org pricing for teams. No surprise bills — ironic, right?

Privacy first

We only read what we need: infrastructure file diffs. We never clone your repo, never store your source code, and never sell your data.

Open Source Core

The core analysis engine is open source. Contribute, report bugs, or run it yourself.
